What is “Clean” Growing?
We talk a lot about “clean” growing, so let’s define it.
Our Blood Worth Hot Sauce is “clean” because we do not used pesticides, herbicides, or other -cides in our beds whatsoever.
That means when we harvest our peppers, the only thing that has touched them is sun, rain, and naturally derived foliar fertilizers, which we don’t always use.
In our sauce, we use the highest quality ingredients like Kikkoman Rice Vinegar, Domino Brown Sugar, sea salt, and locally grown onions & garlic when available.
We don’t put preservatives like potassium benzoate or gums like xanthan in our sauce. We personally hate the texture of xanthan gum; to increase thickness, we simply add a portion of the pepper mash back in to the sauce.
And why would we need preservatives? I promise you this sauce will not last long in your fridge ;)
